A four person-panel shared many ideas and advice on how to change the narrative around "stay at home moms" as well as advocate for relevant social policies and supports to better recognize and respect the important role that mothers play in their families and in communities at large. Participants shared that in some countries such as the USA there is a lack of respect for women caregivers while in other countries such as Denmark where they have exceptional paid child-care leaves this benefit can also become a detriment to those who want to pursue professional goals. Participants from Africa highlighted some distinct cultural differences that impact mothers raising girls.
